On the Sets 'Options & Prices' page you can modify the contents of the set to suit your project! We also include a drawing showing the primary movement, dial and pendulum, installation dimensions. Oakside will remove the moon arches from all 250mm & 280mm moon dials to provide 250 & 280mm square versions.
On the Clock Case Hardware page you will find a selection of useful items, including brass rebate hinges, mortise locks, escutcheons, keys and adjustable cabinet leveling feet for your clock. Oakside use these items on its range of clocks!
Please note, when you purchase your mechanical clock parts from Oakside, you are dealing with a dedicated Longcase Clock Designer & Maker, not just a shop! We will readily examine you clock drawings to ensure that your design will be able to accommodate the Kieninger movement of your choice. All of the Movement, Dial and Pendulum Sets listed on this web page can be installed in a clock cabinet built to the selected plan, however you must compare the dimensions stated on the Kieninger movement instalation drawing we provide and decide if you need to make changes to any of the plans cabinet dimensions prior to constructing the cabinet.

Movement: Kieninger RWS 23 - 80cm.
Dial: Oakside Ø180mm white dial with black Roman numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial and a brass rim.
Pendulum: Kieninger 80cm x 140mm Timber Pendulum.
Pendulum parts: Pendulum leader 164mm. (For 80cm to 116cm movements)
Pulleys: One twin weight yoke pulley.
Weight Shells: Two 50mm x 120mm with large hooks
Shell Fillings: Two lead @ 2.0kg.48mm x 120mm
Gongs: 8-rod gong assembly - included.
Mounting: Cable suspension plate included in set.

Please note that all metal dials are supplied fitted to a back plate with four pillars - these pillars connect directly to the front plate of the movement, ensuring accurate positioning.
The RWS 23 movement specifications. Plate size 131mm x 131mm x 2.0mm. A Dead-beat Graham escapement, Over swinging the pendulum will automaticaly correct the tick (beat). Automatic night silencing - a lever allows you to select Automatic Night Silencing (10PM until 7-15AM), Continuous Chiming or Silent. The RWS movement chimes the hours and plays the Westminster melody on the quarters, on an 8-rod gong.
The RWS 23 - 80cm movement with a 20cm dial requires a minimum clock cabinet internal height of 905 mm, a width of 285mm and a depth of 135mm measured from the inside face of the dial glass to the rear panel.
To achieve 8-day running, the weights need to be able to drop a minimum distance of 760mm, measured between the centre of the dial and the inside bottom of the cabinet.
When using the timber pendulum with a 140mm bob, the distance from the hand-shaft to the centre of the bob is 765mm. The swing is about 240mm.
When using the grid pendulum with a 140mm bob, the distance from the hand-shaft to the centre of the bob is 720mm. The swing is about 200mm.
The distance from the rear panel to the front face of the weight is approximately 120mm.
The Dial, Hands and Movement are supplied assembled and we will attach these items to the movement mounting bracket, if it is ordered. We also provide a template so that you can easily drill the seven holes in the rear board and the movement & chimes can be easily installed in your clock using the special bolts included in the set.
